Repak, a business unit of the Charapak group, has installed a heat shrink line at its warehouse facility in Alfreton, Derbyshire.
The move expands the company’s outsourcing services. The new machine, supplied by Adpack, has a capacity to produce 12 shrink wrapped packs per minute in maximum dimensions of 430x590x190 mm.
Repak provides a range of co-packing and repacking services and has more experience in the storage and handling of imported products. Charapak, Repak’s sister firm, supports the production of display and packaging materials. Thus, Repak offers its customers a comprehensive solution in packaging and fulfillment processes.
The demand for Repak’s packaging services is increasing, particularly in the retail sector. Majority of companies require logistic support related to repacking and shipment to fulfill individual store needs.
With the addition of the new facility, the company can provide more flexibility and versatility to customers’ packaging needs. Repak’s shrink wrapping facility has been approved by HMRC for duty suspended goods storage.
