Lakeside Steel, a manufacturer of steel pipe and tubing, declared that it has signed a four-year deal with Metals USA Holding’s subsidiary, Metals USA, to provide warehousing and steel slitting services to endorse its casing mill being developed in Thomasville, Alabama.
As per the deal, Metals USA will invest to develop a state-of-the art warehousing and steel slitting facility near Lakeside Steel's Thomasville facility. The nearness of the new facility and the agreement with Lakeside Steel would enhance Lakeside Steel's working capital necessities, inventory control, material flow, and will considerably decrease transportation expenditures.
Metals USA offers manufactured metal components, red metals, aluminum, stainless steel and carbon steel. It also provides value-added inventory management and metal processing services.
Ron Bedard, who serves as President and Chief Operating Officer at Lakeside Steel, stated that the company is happy to collaborate with Metals USA, a well-known company in the steel services market. The development of a modern steel processing and warehousing facility close to the company’s Alabama steel mill is a perfect fit for the company’s future operations in Alabama.
