A new line of aluminum oxide abrasives has been launched by Metabo, a company specializing in portable electric power tools and abrasives for welding, construction and industrial applications. The Pyramid abrasives can be used with metalworking tools.
When compared to conventional metalworking abrasives, Pyramid abrasives provide high stock removal and consistent finish. They are suitable for application on aluminum, carbon steels, stainless steels and other soft metals to carry out various finishing work in metalworking.
The abrasives from Metabo feature 3D, structured geometric design, which enables finer grit sizes for material removal. This provides a smooth, consistent finish to the work surfaces. Consumers of Pyramid abrasives can skip specific intermediary grit sizes in order to attain a quick final finish and as a result service life of the discs and belts is increased and work time is considerably minimized.
Metabo's Pyramid abrasives are available in loop disc and belt and hook design. They are also offered in various grit sizes such as 2000, 1200, 600, 400, 280 and 120. These abrasives can be used with Metabo’s WE14-125 INOX angle grinder, SE12-115 Burnisher and RBE12-180 pipe and tube sander.
