New Synthetic Lubricants from Kluber Lubrication

A new series of synthetic lubricants has been introduced by Klüber Lubrication to decrease operating costs and safeguard the environment. The products include Klüberplex AG 11-462, Klüberbio EG 2-150 and Klüberbio RM 2-150.

The Klüberplex AG 11-462 is a white adhesive lubricant, which has shown superior performance at tropical temperatures. The material has been successfully employed on numerous cranes and winches and can also be utilized to lubricate steel ropes and davits on ships. The anticorrosive properties of the Klüberplex AG 11-462 lubricant can protect gears and other components that are exposed to sea water.

The Klüberbio EG 2-150 is a synthetic ester oil specifically designed for demanding applications. It is compatible with elastomers that are utilized in gears and propellers and helps to increase the life of the propeller shaft seal. When compared to mineral-based gear oils, the Klüberbio EG 2-150 has excellent viscosity-temperature characteristic and high scuffing resistance. This synthetic lubricant is suitable for application in rudder propellers and thrusters.

The Klüberbio RM 2-150 is a biodegradable stern tube oil and an efficient eco-compatible substitute to mineral-based oils used for underwater applications. It is non-toxic and ideal for controllable-pitch and fixed-pitch propellers.
