Morgan Thermal Ceramics Receives Refinery Contract for Heat Insulation Modules

A designer and manufacturer of innovative heat insulation products, Morgan Thermal Ceramics has received an order from KTI to supply heat insulation modules for the SATORP project. SATORP is a joint venture formed by Total and Saudi Aramco. Morgan Thermal Ceramics will install Superwool 607 HT Pyro-Bloc insulation modules to SATORP JV refinery in Jubail, Saudi Arabia.

KTI has been supplying fired heaters for a part of the project. SATORP will install the Morgan Thermal Ceramics’ heat insulation modules in the six fired heaters located at its Jubail refinery. The delivery of the insulation products is anticipated to be completed in 2011.

The insulation products used for the SATORP refinery and petrochemical project is made of non-refractory ceramic fiber (RFC) material for the safety of the workplace environment. Superwool products from Morgan Thermal Ceramics are alkaline earth composition fibers (AES fibers) that provide benefits during high temperature insulation applications. These fiber products are cleared from the European classification and labeling regulations.
