Applied Nanotech and YHCC Sign Licensing Agreement for Solar Ink Technology

Applied Nanotech and Sichuan Anxian Yinhe Construction and Chemical Group (YHCC) have signed a licensing deal for the solar ink and paste technology.

The agreement provides an exclusive license to YHCC to commercialize Applied Nanotech's solar inks in Asia, except Japan and Korea. It is the first license agreement of Applied Nanotech with YHCC.

YHCC has started to build a manufacturing plant in China to produce solar inks and pastes. The first products that will be produced at the facility will be the aluminum pastes of Applied Nanotech. The production and sale of these pastes is anticipated to commence in 2012.

Applied Nanotech will have great exposure to the rapidly developing Asian solar market through this licensing deal. The partnership will result in the initial production of solar inks and both the companies are discussing on other alliance opportunities. Based on the agreement, Applied Nanotech will gain an upfront payment and continuing royalty on sales of solar pastes and inks from YHCC.
