Zircotec has launched a new glossy-black enamel-like coating, Liquid Black. This new coating is suitable for Jaguars and other classic car cast manifolds. In addition, Liquid Black ceramic coating shields bodywork and underbonnet components from heat effects.
The coating also solves the prolonged durability issues associated with the original enamel finish and also reduces underbonnet temperatures. Liquid Black imitates the vitreous enamel finish of cast Jaguar manifolds. Jaguar owners are the highest percentage of classic car clients showing interest in Zircotec’s coating.
The enamel-like coating also offers several other benefits. It maintains heat inside the exhaust and eliminates damage around the paintwork. Zircotec’s Liquid Black will help to prevent fuel evaporation issues in hot start-up conditions and it can aid in minimizing cockpit temperatures. The material has an ability to endure gas temperatures of 600°C. The new coating can also be used to eliminate paint cracking on E-Type of cars surrounding the louvers and hot temperatures in the cockpit.
Liquid Black is the first-ever gloss finish developed by the company that would meet the requirements of Jaguar owners in terms of robustness and durability. Zircotec’s clients can send either their new or used manifolds and the company will return the parts after applying the multi layer coating within a turnaround time of 10 days. Testing has proved that the coating maintains the appearance of the parts for a long period.
