Quantum Polymers, a manufacturer and distributor of high performance stock shape plastic products for industrial applications, is now offering extruded stock shape plastic products produced using Arkema’s Kynar 450 resin.
KYNAR 450 is a semi-crystalline, pelletized polymer of vinylidene fluoride and it is a flexible engineering plastic material with excellent chemical and physical properties. Quantum Polymers is delighted to include Kynar 450 in its PVDF product offerings.
Extruded rods and plates made from Kynar 450 PVDF resins are offered by the company. Plates are available in thicknesses ranging from 3/8” to 4 1/2” and rods with diameters varying from 1/2” to 5”. Kynar 450 PVDF is ideal for applications that require handling of harsh chemicals for a longer time. This material is resistant to strong acids and halogens like iodine, fluorine, bromine and chlorine at high temperatures. Kynar 450 PVDF complies with FDA standards for frequent food contacts and it meets NSF-61 terms for portable water. Quantum Polymers is providing this flexible engineering plastic for chemical processing and other manufacturing applications.
CEO of the company, Hemant Bheda stated that Kynar 450 PVDF-based extruded stock shape plastic products will enable manufacturers in chemical processing sectors to address the demanding applications with readily available PVDF material.
