Porvair Filtration Group, a global leader in the development and marketing of porous materials and solutions for filtration and separation applications, has performed testing on its Fluorofil Plus gas sterilizing filters and demonstrated excellent resistance to high temperature sterilization.
The testing has been carried out to ensure the filters’ compatibility with 142°C steam temperature in both forward and reverse flow paths. Fluorofil Plus filters feature a polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) membrane and stainless steel core.
Fluorofil Plus filter cartridges are mainly developed to filter solvents and provide sterilized air and gases for pharmaceutical and other key applications. These cartridges use the hydrophobic expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE) membrane that offers the greatest biosecurtity across the process industry. Porvair’s cartridge is well-suited for the most challenging process environments, when it is incorporated with manufacturing methods and quality polypropylene components of high integrity.
State-of-the-art machines are used to build Fluorofil Plus membrane cartridges in ISO accredited cleanrooms under complex conditions. All the modules of a Porvair’s filter cartridge are tested to ensure integrity. Thus, the Fluorofil Plus cartridges are tested for 100% integrity while manufacturing is carried out by the forward flow diffusion technique.
Porvair Filtration Group’s proficiency in a broad range of media and the commitment of their sales, manufacturing, design, test and research teams make certain that they are at the vanguard of filtration technology, providing exceptional performance to the Aerospace, Automotive, Defense, Nuclear, Energy, Chemical Process, Industrial Process, Water Treatment, Printing and Medical / Life Science markets.
