Falken Industries has introduced a new packaging called Neyriat, which is fully made from earth-friendly elements for the designs and conception of the Clean Plus product in Germany.
Falken and its associates have closely worked and done research to bring this new packaging to the market. As per the researchers’ life cycle assessment study conducted at Falken’s Central European Research Unit, switching to the technically new material will enhance the packaging carbon footprint of the products by 32% and utilize 23% lesser fossil resources when compared to earlier packaging. This is the industry’s first company to switch to eco-friendly packaging for the top European vehicular care product.
The company has calculated that the saved fossil energy is equal to the power utilized by 1,000 German homes in a month and the reduction of greenhouse gas is equal to the amount saved if the vehicle was not driven for 100,000 km.
Falken said that it was essential to integrate quality and high-performance with present and future sustainable standards. The complete process needs to be sustainable and more eco-friendly. The company works to make sure that there is low ecological impact from disposal, sourcing use, re-use and recovery.
The company is striving to reach the International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC) for its recent packaging.
Falken has planned for extending the utilization of the Neyriat packaging in order to have additional products in Germany and other markets. The new packaging cannot be differentiated performance-wise and visually, when compared to the previous products, however is beneficial to the environment.
