Advanced Polymer Trading (APT), a global trading company, specialized in the international trade of rubber additives, rubber, petrochemicals and plastics, has signed a new supply contract with Denka, a chemical company in Japan that produces Chloroprene Rubber.
According the contract terms, APT will supply the industrial grades of the Chloroprene Rubber (CR) in the Middle East.
The main type of rubber used nowadays is Chloroprene rubber. This rubber is utilized in several applications such as electric wire, general industrial material, architectural rubber product, belts and hoses for automotive industry, because of its superior characteristics, when compared to natural and other synthetic rubbers.
Chloroprene rubber is a high-elastic flexible material. The features of the CR include resistance to solvents, low temperature, ozone, heat, and weather ageing.
Mr. Hamid Amiri, Managing Director of APT, stated that there is an increasing demand for Chloroprene Rubber in the Middle East, because this CR is available in other parts of the globe. Chloroprene rubber is employed in a variety of applications, including industrial product, since this is a flexible synthetic rubber.
Chloroprene Rubber was initially used in adhesives and electric wire, though there is a demand for a wide range of applications as well as automotive parts.
