Rubbermaid Commercial Products (RCP) has reported the addition of BPA-free foodservice products to its commercial product line.
The company partnering with Eastman Chemical developed this innovative product line with the help of Tritan copolyester, which is a material that contains no Bisphenol A (BPA). Tritan copolyester provides high durability, superior quality and clarity to the industrial products.
RCP’s characteristic design and durability will be featured in this new BPA-free product line. The company has carried out vigorous product testing. The products survived even when washed using commercial dishwashers with no cracks. They were resistant to hazardous detergents and heat. Chips, breaks and cracks are less in these products, when dropped or used extensively. The new design of the product features clarity that is similar to glass and the high-quality will be maintained throughout its use.
Tritan copolyester from Eastman has inherent toughness and can help to increase the life of the product and to decrease waste. It allows the experts in the food service industry to easily work to meet the initiative and objective of sustainability. GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality Certification has been awarded to this Tritan copolyester.
Over 174 RCP’s BPA-free foodservice products that are made using Tritan copolyester can be acquired by chefs, operators and nationwide account purchasing directors in four foodservice categories like ProSave product line, ProServe product line, boxes, food pans and square containers and ingredient management.
RCP will introduce the BPA-Free commercial foodservice products at the National Restaurant Association show, which will be held from 5 to 8 May 2012.
