element14 Expands Range of Fairchild’s Logic ICs and MOSFETs

element14 has declared that the range of Fairchild Semiconductor logic ICs and metal–oxide–semiconductor field-effect transistors (MOSFETs) has been increased by 20% and 50%, respectively. The company’s overall range of Fairchild products has been increased to more than 2,500, through this expansion.

The company’s invention has included Fairchild’s new range of mobile and high-power products, wherein signal path ICs, power management, optoelectronics, logic, lighting ICs, and standard discrete and analog are included. PWM controllers are included in the new power solutions of Fairchild and feature the mWSaver technology. These controllers minimize standby and no-load power use and enable conformance to all standby mode efficiency strategies in the world.

Power management efficiency in a form factor can be increased with the help of PowerTrench MOSFET technology from Fairchild. It mainly minimizes design space found in ultra-portable applications. These devices are specially designed for use in lithium-ion battery pack protection circuit and additional ultra-portable applications, as single-package solutions.

Energy-saving solutions are provided by Fairchild for use in LED lighting applications, wherein new series of Single-Stage PFC PSR off-line LED Drivers and the FL7732 and FL7730, are featured in the solutions. The FL7732 and FL7730 are PWM controllers, improving the performance of single-stage flyback converters. Complexities in design, total bill-of-material (BOM) and the system cost design can be minimized by the long life devices. Uniformity, lighting quality and manufacturing cost-effectiveness are enhanced by the new LED drivers for various dimmable designs.
