Comprehensive Report on Titanium Dioxide Nanomaterials

Research and Markets has included a report titled ‘Titanium Dioxide Nanomaterials: Volume 1352. MRS Proceedings’ to its catalogue.

Titanium dioxide nanomaterials hold potential in numerous fields. International researchers have met to share the latest developments in areas ranging from theoretical calculations to basic surface science and to material characterization, fabrication and practical application. Over 160 posters, presentations and papers were selected for the Symposium GG: Titanium Dioxide Nanomaterials at the 2011 MRS Spring Meeting conducted from April 25 to 29, in San Francisco, California. This volume includes some of the chosen papers covering the properties, processing, and applications of titanium dioxide nanomaterials.

Some of the key topics covered in the report include First-principles study of oxygen deficiency in rutile titanium dioxide Hsin-Yi Lee; Synergistic effects on band gap-narrowing in titania by doping from first-principles calculations: density functional theory studies Niall English; On the sol-gel synthesis and characterization of titanium oxide nanoparticles Jitendra Kumar; Slow aggregation of titania nanocrystals in acidic hydrosols Olga Pavlova-Verevkina; Fabrication of three-dimensionally ordered macro-/mesoporous titania monoliths by a dual-templating approach Lianbin Xu; Growth of TiO2 thin films on Si(001) and SiO2 by reactive high power impulse magnetron sputtering Fridrik Magnus; Dynamics of water confined on the surface of titania and cassiterite nanoparticles Nancy Ross; X-ray diffraction investigations of TiO2 thin films and their thermal stability Radomir Kuzel; Morphology and electronic structures of calcium phosphate coated titanium dioxide nanotubes Tsun-Kong Sham; Comparison between the optical and surface properties of TiO2 and Ag/TiO2 thin films prepared by sol-gel process Nelcy Mohallem; Optical and electrical properties of solution processable TiOx thin films for solar cell and sensor applications Mool Gupta; Ellipsometric characterization of thin nanocomposite films with tunable refractive index for biochemical sensors Peter Petrik; Influence of post-annealing temperature on the properties of Ti-doped In2O3 transparent conductive films by DC ratio-frequency sputtering Lei Li; Photocatalytic activity, hydrophilic and optical properties of nanocrystalline titania thin films prepared by sol-gel dip coating Maria Ferrara; Nb-substituted TiO2 nanosheet exfoliated from layered titanate for photocatalysis Haiyan Song; and Rational designs on TiO2-based nanocomposites for solar photocatalytic purification Tao Xu.
