An Austin, Texas based private investment company, Owner Resource Group (ORG), has completed the acquisition of KMCO, a custom chemical processing and specialty chemicals manufacturing company. The acquisition includes KMCO and its affiliates, DOT Chemical and KMTEX.
KMCO is based in Crosby, Texas and serves agricultural, industrial, petroleum and automotive markets. It has a proven record of offering high quality, reliable production and robust customer service for batch specialty chemical products. The company owns and operates two manufacturing plants: KMCO plant in Crosby, Texas and KMTEX plant in Port Arthur, Texas. The Crosby plant is an ISO 9001 certified facility, which includes 23 reactor systems, 8 distillation columns and 250 rail car capacity. The KMTEX facility has a storage capacity of 20 million gallons and also includes 100 rail car spaces and a 300 foot barge dock, 1 carbon steel distillation column and 4 stainless steel distillation columns.
Arthur “Artie” McFerrin, Chairman of KMCO, stated that the partnership with ORG will be beneficial to their company, customers and employees, as it provides additional resources and capital that will enable KMCO to enhance its quality products and services.
