Nordson Announces Sealant Equipment + Engineering Acquisition

Nordson has acquired Sealant Equipment & Engineering, a Plymouth, Michigan-based company specializing in the production of meter, mix and dispense equipment and valves for dispensing 1-part, 2-part and 3-part sealant, adhesive and lubricating materials. Terms of the deal were not revealed.

Sealant Equipment & Engineering will come under Nordson’s Industrial Coating Systems business. Nordson offers precision technology solutions to help customers improve productivity, output, up-time, reduce material usage, and develop new features and products. The company produces and trades unique products and systems for ultraviolet curing and plasma surface treatment, test and inspection, fluid management, and dispensing and processing plastics, biomaterials, sealants, coatings and adhesives.

Nordson provides products for industries, including construction, transportation, energy, appliances, medical, electronics, nonwovens, packaging, and general product assembly and finishing.

Michael F. Hilton, President and Chief Executive Officer at Nordson, stated that with this acquisition of Sealant Equipment & Engineering, Nordson can now expand its reach in the cold materials equipment market and concentrate more on a myriad of general industry applications, which include alternative energy, medical, building and construction, transportation, aerospace and much more.

Hilton further said that Sealant Equipment & Engineering is a perfect fit to Nordson’s portfolio of cold material equipment. Sealant Equipment & Engineering also provides an additional capability to Nordson in an area that has been emphasized as attractive to provide unique products and services for improving processes and productivity of customers.
