Fenner Advanced Sealing Technologies (FAST Group-Houston) declared that it has purchased Florida-based company, American Industrial Plastics (AIP). AIP has been supplying precision machined products to medical, industrial, oil and gas markets for use in challenging applications, for 30 years.
According to Leonard Casey, FAST Group-Houston’s President, this latest acquisition complements the manufacturing capabilities of the company. The present offering line of the company has been extended through the potentialities of the AIP team, thus helping FAST to significantly expand into the main markets.
AIP is an expert in employing the ideas of customers into manufacturable components. The team uses high-performance materials, based on polymer, to manufacture difficult-to-machine and complex parts.
Casey explained that the company has mutual knowledge in materials, engineering, and custom manufacturing; and this expertise will match the present business and facilitate the company to promote innovation. Currently, the clients can source parts that are machined to exceptional precision levels, while customers of AIP have access to strong material and engineering design.
According to George Willis, President of AIP, the company has been acquired by FAST Group-Houston at the appropriate time. It is expecting to leverage the resources available with Fenner in order to promote AIP’s expansion in the market and also offer detailed engineering support to present customers.
Fenner Advanced Sealing Technologies manufactures elastomeric and plastic elements. The company has more than five decades of experience in producing custom engineered designs and materials for use in critical applications and elements.
