Vishay Intertechnology has launched a new line of high-precision thin film SMD wraparound chip resistor arrays, which are enhanced for use in high-temperature down-hole and aeronautics applications.
The operating temperature range of the new PRAHT four-resistor networks is between −55 °C and +215 °C. The networks demonstrate an optimal storage temperature of + 230 °C, an unprecedented value for any resistor array developed on thin film technology.
The newly introduced Vishay Sfernice devices are suitable for pressure and oil level sensors, and for measuring temperature in aeronautics engine and braking systems as well as in down-hole extraction tools. The networks deliver high-temperature performance with 0.7% load-life stability after 2,000 h at + 215 °C and rated power, as well as tight TCR of 10 ppm/°C with TCR tracking to 2 ppm/°C and 0.05% ratio tolerance.
The PRAHT series is offered in 1, 1.35 and 1.82 mm pitches and features a power rating range between 10 and 20 mW per resistor and a resistance value ranging between 10 W and 2 M W. The devices in the series offer voltage coefficient of below 0.01 ppm/V and very low noise of below −35 dB. The networks are compliant with RoHS and are offered with SnAg terminations for temperatures up to + 200 °C and gold terminations for temperatures as high as + 230 °C.
Vishay Intertechnology offers its new PRAHT resistor networks in both sample and production quantities for procurement, with 10-week lead time for larger orders.
