Taber Extrusions, a major aluminum extrusions company, has announced the addition of two new equipment improvements at its facility situated in Arkansas.
With the inclusion of these machineries, Taber Extrusions has upgraded its precision saw-cutting capabilities for customized aluminum extrusion profiles and rod and bar/standard extruded shapes. This upgrade enables the company to continue its dominance in the marketplace, while providing high precision saw cutting and helping customers to save costs.
Taber Extrusions has strong customer base in a variety of markets, including defense and commercial. The addition of a circular saw and a band saw will enable the company to completely cover its comprehensive portfolio of produced extrusion profiles. With these new saws, the company’s cut tolerances now have length and squareness of cut (up to +/- .010") across a maximum 32" width (minimum cut length of .75"). The two new machineries are designed to efficiently cut aluminum, ensure better production rates, and reduce scrap.
Taber Extrusions’ Sales Manager, Steve Althardt stated that the improvement in the company’s sawing capabilities enables the company to produce a more precise product that can be loaded directly by customers into their machining centers. The precision cut blanks save time and money of customers when compared to cutting mill lengths in house.
For more than three decades, Taber Extrusions has pushed the frontiers as a key extrusion company by offering a variety of high-quality, tailor-made aluminum extrusions at affordable prices with the help of advanced technology.
