Poole to Recycle Products Manufactured with EcoSure Fiber

Poole Company, as part of its new EcoSure Full-Circle program, will recycle any product manufactured using its EcoSure fiber. The Full-Circle program was launched with the aim of reusing and extending the life of products made from EcoSure 100% PCR PET recycled fiber.

EcoSure is an environment-friendly fiber which can be used in place of virgin fiber. It is a stable fiber manufactured by Poole using 100% PCR PET flake. In comparison to virgin fiber, PCR polyester fiber reduces emission of greenhouse gases by 71% and energy consumption by around 84%. These figures are based on studies that were conducted by NAPCOR. SCS Recycled Content Certification Program has certified that 100% Post-consumer Recycled PET Content is used in the production of EcoSure fiber.

The main aim of the EcoSure Full-Circle Program is to extend the life of a product beyond its intended limit and further the benefits to the environment. This program is highly flexible and suits manufacturers and textile distributors. The program does not involve any hidden agenda in terms of revenue collection. It has been estimated that by recycling products made from 100% EcoSure fiber, greenhouse gases are considerably reduced and around 25,000 BTUs per pound of energy is also saved, which are high valued benefits for the environment. Poole’s mission of being a sustainable partner has been achieved by this program.

Poole Company’s CEO, David Poole, said that the best thing about the company’s EcoSure Full-Circle Program was that an already recycled product, such as household wipes, apparels or linens, can be recycled once again. He also said that Poole had the ability to extend and change the course of the life of a product which has been declared ‘dead’, such as an empty plastic bottle.
