For the eighth consecutive year, Arkema has rewarded the author of the best graduation project in the field of paper fibers, bioresource valorization, and improvement of environmental balance of paper processes, among 3rd year student engineers from the International School of Paper, Print Media and Biomaterials (Grenoble INP-Pagora engineering school). Arkema’s participation in this event, as a major supplier of bleaching products to the paper industry, underlines its commitment to the paper industry and its ongoing backing for research.
The Arkema/INP prize was awarded to Benoît Arnould-Jarriault for his final project study on the development of a new production process more environmental friendly, of natural fibres for non-paper applications such as bio-plastics.
The award was presented by Mr Pierre Larnicol Business Manager in Arkema’s Hydrogen Peroxide business unit at the graduation ceremony for engineers on November 23rd 2012 in Grenoble, France, in the presence of many students, teachers, paper manufacturers, and the guest of honor for the evening, Mrs. Isabelle Boccon-Gibot, Vice President of Arjowiggins Group and Executive Director of Senaqua Group, President of Revipapa and of the Confederation Française de l’Industrie des Papiers, Cartons & Cellulose (COPACEL).
Grenoble INP-Pagora (International School of Paper, Print Media and Biomaterials) is an engineering school of the Grenoble Institut National Polytechnique. It trains future managers for the paper manufacturing and print media sector, in partnership with a large number of manufacturers both in and outside France.
