Westmoreland Mechanical Testing & Research, Ltd. Announces Major UK Expansion

Westmoreland Mechanical Testing & Research, Ltd. (WMT&R) continued its UK expansion by opening a state-of-the-art materials testing facility in Banbury, Oxfordshire.

The site is nearly triple the size of the previous location and enables WMT&R to better serve customers with a wider range of testing services, increased capacity, and faster turnaround times.

The facility is Nadcap certified and UKAS ISO 17025 accredited. The expansion signifies major investment and growth in WMT&R’s international presence. Fatigue and tensile testing capacity and capabilities have been significantly increased, as have WMT&R’s composites testing services.

Other key aspects of the expansion include an upgraded metallography laboratory, enhanced machining capabilities, and a new laboratory information management system (LIMS).
