Nordenia Avoid Closing Dutch Plant by Selling It

The investors around Jos van der Vorst, who also own the converter Burgers in Apeldoorn, Netherlands, plan to take over NORDENIA HOLLAN Putten B.V. completely. A letter of intent has been signed, projecting a takeover in the 2nd quarter of 2007. Originally, NORDENIA INTERNATIONAL AG intended to close NORDENIA HOLLAND on September 30, 2007.

Since then, the search for alternative solutions has been successful so that NORDENIA HOLLAND Putten B.V. will continue as a production site. The complete product portfolio will remain at the Dutch site in Putten; except for products for the pet food industry. NORDENIA’s previous activities in the growing pet food area will be integrated into the NORDENIA Group. Granted the transaction is successful, the site will no longer operate under the name NORDENIA in the future.

NORDENIA HOLLAND Putten B.V. is specialized in the field of flexible packaging for the food industry. In addition, the company supplies the tire and aviation industries as well as converters with high-quality films.
