ICIS pricing is launching a new daily Fibre Intermediates report for the Asia Pacific on 30 July, primarily to meted out recent price volatility in the intermediates market.
The report will be a reconstitution of the current MEG report and will feature comprehensive daily price assessments for Terephthalic Acid (PTA) and Mono Ethylene Glycol (MEG) as well as commentary on the daily MEG market trends and outlook.

Upward pressure on MEG following recent trends was partly exerted from the downstream sector, where demand for feedstocks was gradually recovering. After a short hiatus, without any significant PTA purchases and depleted MEG inventories, some end-users were obviously anxious to replenish their stocks and thus were intensifying enquiries.
