Introduction
Copper alloys are available in more than 400 varieties. UNS C83300 alloy is a type of copper casting alloy.
It's comprised of 93% Copper (Cu), 1.5% Tin (Sn), 1.5% Lead (Pb), and 4% Zinc (Zn). This alloy is typically used for terminal ends for electrical cables.

Fabrication and Heat Treatment
Welding
Welding process suitable for the UNS C83300 copper casting alloy include brazing, soldering and gas shielded arc welding. coated Coated metal arc welding, oxyacetylene welding and carbon arc welding are not recommended for this alloy.
Machinability
The machinability rating for the UNS C83300 copper casting alloy is 35.
Heat Treatment
The UNS C83300 alloy has a stress relieving temperature of 260°C (500°F). This alloy does not react to heat treatment. The time at temperature for this alloy is one hour per inch of section thickness.
