The flash point tester eraflash is fully compliant with the Continuously Closed Cup flash point testing techniques ASTM D6450, ASTM D7094, and the European equivalent IP620. ASTM D7094 demonstrates no statistical bias over the previous ASTM D93 Pensky Martens technique. The sample volume is only 2 mL. During measurements, an electric arc burns the sample vapor, and the analyzer determines the flash point based on the pressure change inside the closed cup. Flashpoint testing has never been safer or easier.

ASTM D7094 and ASTM D6450

ASTM D6450 was the first Continuously Closed Cup Flash Point (CCCFP), with a sample capacity of only 1 ml. A modified successor approach was created to increase the correlation with the well-known ASTM D93 Pensky Martens method.
ASTM D7094 (Modified CCCFP) uses 2 ml of sample volume and a different heating rate than ASTM D6450, resulting in no statistical bias to ASTM D93 (Pensky Martens). This was confirmed by an ASTM round-robin test in 2004.
This round-robin demonstrated that the real repeatability and reproducibility of ASTM D7094 are up to 50% higher than the numbers specified in ASTM D93.
Fuel Specifications Testing

In December 2013, ASTM D7094 was accepted as the first official alternative for fuel specification testing because it produces equal results to ASTM D93 and even outperforms it in terms of reproducibility.
- Fuel oil (ASTM D396)
- Diesel fuel (ASTM D975)
- Gas turbine fuel oil (ASTM D2880)
- Kerosene (ASTM D3699)
- Diesel Fuel, Biodiesel Blend (ASTM D7467)
Unmatched Range Meets High Performance

eralytics' unique PBT - Peltier Boost Technology® enables flash point testing below 0 °C (32 °F) and above 200 °C (392 °F) with a single instrument. This method separates the Peltier elements from the oven during the heating process, preventing them from being damaged by high temperatures.
Furthermore, the Peltier elements can be employed to cool down at temperatures that would typically damage them. Thus, the turnaround time is greatly reduced. Furthermore, PBT makes eraflash the only flash point tester on the market that can operate in temperatures ranging from -25 °C (-13 °F) to 420 °C (788 °F).

The unique PBT - Peltier Boost Technology® enables unparalleled heating and cooling rates, which, combined with the low sample volume, greatly reduces the turnaround time for flash point testing. The CPT - Contamination Prevention Technology™ combines superior electrode protection and self-cleaning methods, reducing cleaning and maintenance time and enhancing sample throughput.
