eracount xs - The Smallest and Fastest Laser-Based Particle Counter

eracount xs is the most compact and fastest field particle counter. With the push of a button, the laser-based analyzer measures and displays ISO 4406 particle size channels ≥4 µm(c), ≥6 µm(c), and ≥14 µm(c) in just 60 seconds using only 10 mL of sample. When connected to one of eralytics’ other OCM analyzers, eracount xs can count particles across eight channels.

eracount xs is the preferred analyzer for quick particle measurements in the field with lab grade precision. Large particles first appear as a result of hydraulic and lubricating oil systems experiencing initial failures. Every particle that passes the sensor is readily detected by eracount xs. This laser-based particle counter works best when used in combination with another eralytics analyzer, such as the FTIR spectrometer eraspec oil or the kinematic viscometer eravisc X.

The eracount xs is a remarkably durable, all-metal device that weighs just 3 kg. It can withstand harsh conditions like high temperatures and vibrations of any kind. Test rigs, parts cleaning, and the detection and condition monitoring of hydraulic and lubricant oil systems make it the ideal analyzer.

Any petroleum product or lubricant with viscosities up to 1000 cSt at 22 ºC (up to ISO VG 320) and pressures up to 2 bar can be measured for cleanliness using eracount xs. eracount xs can identify even larger particles with its eight particle size channels, providing the ability to send out an alert in the event of abrasion or machine failure. The instrument can be traced back to NIST standards and is calibrated in accordance with the international standard ISO 11171.
