The eracheck X is a high-end dual-beam non-dispersive infrared spectrometer designed for very accurate oil-in-water measurements. It is based on the inexpensive and environmentally beneficial CFC-free solvent cyclohexane and measures in complete conformity with ASTM D8193, with great correlation to EPA 1664, ISO 9377-2, and OSPAR.

ASTM D8193, unlike gravimetric procedures, does not require solvent evaporation, reducing the potential of light-end loss during measurements. This results in greatly improved accuracy and precision (r = 0.25 mg/L) across a large measuring range (0–3000 mg/L).
