Air Products Installs Air Separation Unit for AGC Glass Europe

Air Products has recently installed an air separation unit (ASU) for AGC Glass Europe, the world’s largest producer of flat glass. The state-of-the-art cryogenic PRISM® ON300 plant, now successfully operating at AGC’s Teplice factory in the Czech Republic, produces pure oxygen and nitrogen and represents a significant part of AGC’s rebuilt float glass production line.

Compact Microchips Operate Flawlessly at 300 °C

An enormous treasure slumbers in the depths of our planet. Temperatures of up to 7000 °Celsius are thought to be present in the Earth's core, while at a depth of four to six kilometers (2.5 to 3.5 miles) it is still 150 °C to over 200 °C. These gigantic reserves of heat can be used as a renewable source of energy for geothermal power.

Photo Stencil, LLC, a leading full-service provider of high-performance stencils and tooling, announces the addition of a manufacturing plant in Golden, CO. The new 35,200 sq. ft. facility has three cleanrooms: a 10,000 sq. ft. Class 10,000 cleanroom, a 4500 sq. ft. Class 1,000 cleanroom, and a small Class 100 cleanroom.

Minnesota Inventors Hall of Fame to Induct Stratasys Chairman

Stratasys Ltd., a global leader of 3D printing and additive manufacturing solutions announced today that Chairman Scott Crump will be inducted into the Minnesota Inventors Hall of Fame (MIHF). Crump co-founded 3D printer manufacturer Stratasys Inc. with his wife, Lisa, in 1989.
