Quick and Easy Case Depth Using Automatic Measurement

This video shows how to achieve a fast and easy case depth utilizing automatic measurement from Zwick. A single indentation is made followed by an autofocus to sharpen the image. Once the automatic measure button is pushed, the ZHµ.HD software provides a hardness reading without any operator intervention.

The software detects the indentation via contrasts in the grey scale. Then, a scanner is used to get an image of the specimen. Within seconds, a complete specimen image is seen in the image window.
