Measuring Particle Size Distribution of Chocolate Using SALD-2300

This video shows particle size distribution measurement of chocolate using Shimadzu’s SALD-2300 laser diffraction particle size analyzer. A chocolate block is cut into small pieces and mixed with some IPA (iso-propanol) heated at about 45°C using a magnetic stirrer. The batch cell filled with pure IPA is set in the cell holder to measure the particle size.
