The LFA 457 MicroFlash Laser Flash Instrument from Netzsch

Bob Fidler from Netzsch Instruments tells about the LFA 457 MicroFlash® laser flash instrument used for measuring thermal diffusivity. With knowledge of thermal diffusivilty, thermal conductivity can be calculated.

The LFA 457 has has an operating range of -125°C to 1100°C and can be adapted to run down to -150°C. It uses the laser flash technique and Bob explains how this non-destructive, rapid test works
