Spartanics' high-speed label laser die cutting machine working in conjunction with the EFI Jetrion 4000 UV Inkjet System at web speeds of 100+ m/minute for the laser die cutter and 30.5+m/minute for the digital printer, will be demonstrated at an Open House event in Spartanics' Rolling Meadows, Illinois headquarters on June 24 and June 25.
Highlights of this joint Spartanics-EFI Jetrion event include:
- Showcasing the Jetrion 4000 UV Inkjet System, the first narrow web digital press suited to economically run lengths of 50,000+ labels, working in conjunction with the Spartanics Finecut Label Laser Die Cutting Machine at web speeds of 100+m/minute, while maintaining cut-to-print registration of +/-0.1mm.
- The Jetrion 4000 UV Inkjet System offers label converters an affordable, full-color narrow web alternative to toner-based digital printers for label runs of up to 50,000 labels and beyond. With speeds of up to 30.5 meters per minute at more than 1000 dpi with grayscale technology, the Jetrion 4000 delivers high-quality, full-color label printing up to 13.9 centimeters (5.5 inches) wide. The system also features Jetrion's advanced UV4000 ink set that provides exceptional durability and reduces the need for costly over-laminates. In combination with EFI's Fiery XF RIP and EFI's XFlow solution, the inks provide outstanding color reproduction across a wide range of substrates using an intuitive PDF-based digital workflow.
- The Spartanics Finecut Label Laser Die Cutting Machine is operational in-line or off-line depending on customer application. Features include optimization software for ease of operator use, elimination of costly tool designs and changeover, and elimination of liner burnthroughs or melted adhesives for effortless label removal.
- Also being demonstrated is the Spartanics Finecut Sheet-Fed Laser Die Cutting Machine -- the only galvo head laser die cutting system in the world that continuously feeds sheets without any starting or stopping in between sheets. Spartanics sheet-fed system is the best-match laser die cutting technology for a wide range of sheet-fed applications including: polycarbonate nameplates used in automotive, aerospace, appliance, medical device and other consumer products; abrasive products made super-economically by eliminating need for tooling replacements; gaskets; magnets; membrane switches and other flexible circuitry; RFID and other electronics components among others.
