Kimball Office, a recognized leader in workplace furnishings, is stepping up its textiles selection, with the help of world-renowned Perkins+Will Design Principals, Eva Maddox and Eileen Jones.
The partnership provides a unique collection of sustainable designer fabric options available to clients. The revamped seating and panel fabric portfolio will be unveiled the week of June 14, in the Kimball Office showroom, located on 325 N. Wells, Chicago.
"It's no longer enough to think of today's trends," said Jeff Fenwick, Vice President and General Manager at Kimball Office. "When planning and designing, companies think about the future. By partnering with Perkins+Will to evaluate and enhance our offerings, we are providing our clients with well thought-out design options, which promise longevity, freshness, and style."
The collaboration identified fabrics with design trends of today and tomorrow in mind. The new portfolio features environmentally friendly and high-quality textiles from more than seven top industry mills.
"I applaud Kimball Office for stepping out of the box to collaborate with the design industry's great resources – Knoll, Maharam, Carnegie and Mayer. The result is a new material and surface platform with a sustainable approach and fresh look – both of which strengthen Kimball Office's relevance to the industry," said Eva Maddox, Design Principal at Perkins+Will.
Most materials are crafted from recycled polyester or natural fibers such as cotton and wool, and several are Scientific Certification Systems Indoor Advantage(TM) and Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED(R)) certified.
The new portfolio offers solutions for all markets, and coordinate and complement Kimball Office's range of wood finishes, paint, and laminate colors. Timeless styles and colors, small, medium and large patterns, solid textures, stripes, leather, faux leather, and innovative materials add to the longevity of this new selection.
