Market-leading fire apparatus manufacturer, E-ONE, Inc., opens a new 75,000 square foot facility in Hamburg, New York. The facility will specialize in manufacturing stainless steel apparatus, refurbishment, technical service and support.
E-ONE has appointed Bill Savage, a 30-year industry veteran and expert in stainless steel fire apparatus design and manufacturing, as president of the New York facility. Savage has assembled a highly-experienced team to support new and existing E-ONE customers.
"The New York based team is proud to be joining the E-ONE family and we are looking forward to complementing E-ONE's existing products by providing the industry's best stainless steel apparatus to customers throughout the nation," said Bill Savage, president of E-ONE New York. "We have been manufacturing and refurbishing stainless steel apparatus for more than 20 years and are excited about working closely with E-ONE dealers and customers."
This announcement comes on the heels of the Water Master™ vacuum tanker product acquisition which was announced just over a year ago and furthers the organizations goals of investing in innovative products and expanding its factory service capabilities to enrich E-ONE's leading market position and further the company's ability to serve fire departments throughout North America and in more than 40 countries worldwide.
"We are thrilled not only to be re-launching our stainless steel product line, but to also offer a refurbishment and service location for our dealers and customers in the Northeast and Midwest," said Peter Guile, President and CEO of E-ONE, Inc. "The leadership of Bill Savage at our New York facility combined with his highly-skilled team provides unparalleled expertise and ensures confidence in our ability to build stainless steel apparatus of the highest quality alongside our industry-leading line of aluminum fire apparatus. We are delighted to have Bill be a part of our management team."
Since returning to private-ownership in 2008, E-ONE has transformed its manufacturing processes to produce the highest quality apparatus in the industry, resulting in the majority of the 2010 deliveries having zero defects per unit during customer final inspections. Investments in innovative products have also produced 11 new or improved apparatus designs, including the Tradition ES pumper and rescue pumper, HP 78, low travel height aerial cab, severe duty cab interior, and a revised rear-mount pump module.
Ongoing new product innovation, tireless focus on quality, acquisition of the WaterMaster™ vacuum tanker product line and the opening of a dedicated stainless steel manufacturing facility, continue to demonstrate E-ONE's commitment to the fire service.
