Smurfit-Stone Container Corporation (NYSE: SSCC), one of the industry's leading containerboard and corrugated packaging producers, will demonstrate full lifecycle packaging solutions at this year's Pack Expo, Oct. 31 – Nov. 3, in Chicago.
John Eaton, vice president of packaging solutions for Smurfit-Stone's Automated Packaging Systems (APS) group, will be at booth #2253 to discuss Smurfit-Stone's holistic approach to providing full-service solutions to its customers – from corrugated automated packaging to market and back again.
Smurfit-Stone's Meta® family of packaging machinery, including the Meta Wrap-8® and Meta™ produce North America's only eight-sided cases and will be featured at Pack Expo. The Meta cases feature mitered corners, which result in increased stacking strength and reduced fiber requirements. The cases' panels also allow additional high-impact graphics for on-the-shelf differentiation.
"Meta® cases are made with less fiber and less weight – without compromising the container's strength," said Eaton. "Our Meta® line was designed to increase efficiencies, reduce product damage and waste, and save customers money through labor and material costs."
