Ecolab Launches Conveyor Lubricant for Bottling Plants

A new conveyor lubricant has been unveiled by Ecolab, a global provider of products and services for sanitizing, cleaning, infection prevention and food safety to food and beverage processing, foodservice, hospitality and healthcare industries.

The DryExx GF dry lubricant is designed particularly for application with glass bottles on the conveyor belts. Compared to conventional wet lubricants, the DryExx GF formulation provides about 80% of water saving without compromising on hygiene and efficiency.

An active lubricating material in the dry lubricant produces a protective film on the conveyor belts, resulting in reduced friction and abrasion rate. It also removes the requirement for huge amount of water to repeatedly wash the abrasion from the belts.

Andreas Weilinghoff, General Manager of European Food & Beverage business of Ecolab, stated that the launch of DryExx GF again represents the company’s leadership in conveyor lubrication technologies.
