MagneGas Uses Renewable Method for Hydrogen Production

MagneGas has achieved a significant milestone by efficiently producing hydrogen from a renewable source. The company used common wastewater as feedstock and separated the hydrogen from MagneGas fuel. The company expects to become a commercial hydrogen supplier within 2011.

Dr. Ruggero Santilli, CEO and Chief Scientist at MagneGas, stated that though hydrogen is a clean fuel, it is created from fossil fuels using a high-emission process. Till date, little progression has been made to manufacture hydrogen from 100% renewable sources. MagneGas technique leverages the company’s technology and a feedstock to produce superior quality hydrogen. The process is also economically feasible and helps clean the surroundings containing harmful liquid waste.

Thus, an innovative and renewable method has been introduced by MagneGas for extracting hydrogen and when this waste-to-energy generation technique is employed in a new energy infrastructure potential results can be obtained. Through this technique, natural resources are protected that results in a clean and green environment.
