LINE-X Protective Coatings declared that its fire resistance mining product, the XS-252, was showcased at Coal Prep 2011. The event was held at the Lexington Center between 3 and 5 May, 2011. The XS-252 was exclusively developed for firms where fire retardation and protection against corrosion and abrasion are essential.
The XS-25 is the first spray-on lining product to fulfill the Mine, Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) Standard Application Procedures for Acceptance of Flame-Resistance Solid Products Taken Into Mines. It can be applied to any model of mining device, irrespective of its dimensions. The XS-252 has received certification from the MSHA Standard Application Procedures for Sealants Applied to Underground Ventilation Controls (ASAP 5005). It can be used to seal shaft seals.
Unsuccessful sealers have been a continuous concern for the mining segment for several years since methane can leak into working environments and can combine with oxygen to become explosive. To overcome this hazard, LINE-X developed the LINE-X XS-252 that had physical as well as fire resistance characteristics to meet the requirements of MSHA underground ventilation controls. The LINE-X XS-252 develops a monolithic layer to reduce the leakage of dangerous gases into the working environments, thereby safeguarding mining staff.
The team members of LINE-X explained in detail how the company’s scientifically-developed solutions are securing significant properties like the U.S. Pentagon. The event also offered exclusive educational sessions on the recent advancements and enabled attendees to search for suppliers who can supply highly competitive solutions.
Kevin Heronimus, Chief Executive Officer of LINE-X Protective Coatings, stated that coal mining is a highly risky segment. He mentioned that the Coal Prep Show provides a good opportunity for the company to reveal its dedication in creating sophisticated solutions that offer unparallel protection for the mining segment.
