New Primer Body Coat Reduces Environmental Impact

Citadel Polyurea Coatings has expanded its Single Component Polyurea (SCP) series of floor coatings with the addition of Poly100-Single Component (SC). The new primer body coat is suitable for minimizing environmental impact in broadcast and solid color systems.

The Poly100-SC offers a number of benefits compared to epoxy and other conventional Polyurea products. Benefits include unlimited pot life, faster curing time, high strength and flexibility, zero volatile organic compounds, self-leveling property and no wastage. The unlimited pot life gives more time to installers to lay down the coating and assure consistency. The Poly100-SC floor coating gets cured within 4 to 8 h of walk-on time. The primer coating is 20 times stronger and 100% more flexible than epoxy coating.

The self-leveling properties of the primer coating reduce labor by preventing the formation of roller lines. Product installation can be done at temperatures ranging from 0° to 120°. The Poly100-SC is a green product and cause less environmental impact. The coating has minimal odor and is easy to prepare as it requires no mixing or measuring and needs less space for storage.
