The Euro PM2011 Congress & Exhibition, considered to be the pinnacle of the annual PM calendar, will be taking place in one of Europe's more prominent cities, Barcelona. The event will be staged at the Centre Convencions International Barcelona, CCIB, which is only a short metro journey from the city's centre.
The Euro PM2011gathering will not only attract an audience of industry recognised decision makers, leading PM academics, researchers and business personnel, but will be combined with an industry-wide exhibition that includes many companies from the international PM Supply Chain, from powder suppliers, to equipment manufacturers, to component producers and research organisations to name but a few.
The Euro PM2011's opening presentations will be an "Overview of Status and Trends in the European PM Industry" by Ingo Cremer, President of EPMA, followed by "Energy Consumption in Powder Metallurgical Manufacturing" by Dr Volker Arnold and Dr Vladislav Kruzhanov, GKN Sinter Metals GmbH, concluding with the annual "Distinguished Service Awards" ceremony.
The Technical Programme will provide a great level of interest for delegates as this year's programme boasts over 200 oral papers, which represent all the major contributing PM areas, conventional ferrous structural PM, Metal Injection Moulding, Hard Materials and Diamond tooling as well as some more specialised interests, such as nano and miniaturisation.
EPMA Executive Director Jonathan Wroe said "We have put together a strong programme of technical sessions with an additional number of special workshops and meetings on key topics of relevance to the PM industry."
There will be a comprehensive programme of PM papers combined with a number of Special Interest Seminars, such as "Functional Surfaces in Hard Materials", "Metal Injection Moulding of Applied Functional Materials" and "PM Biomaterials - Design and Biofunctionality". The technical presentations will run in parallel to the Euro PM Exhibition.
"The Euro PM2011 Exhibition will be a great place to discuss business in 2011, said Andrew Almond Euro PM Marketing Manager. He added "I am hopeful of a sold-out exhibition as there are only 4 booths left".
Any company considering exhibiting at this year's event should get in contact as soon as possible, to ensure they do not miss out!
