Macro Engineering & Technology has launched a new Italian company, Macro Engineering & Technology l.
Macro is a worldwide manufacturer and supplier of extrusion and coextrusion solutions for specialty and barrier films and sheet, including equipment for web handling, winding and custom coating applications.
The new company has been created to boost Macro Engineering & Technology's service and sales resources to Middle Eastern and European markets. The Canadian company has chosen Italy for its European operation, as the area has a well-established network of human resources and suppliers. In addition, the site has central proximity to better Macro Engineering & Technology’s service to its customer base in the European market.
The sheet and film extrusion system manufacturer had carried out several alternatives to speed up its plan for launching a European operation. The initiatives include acquisition of a machinery manufacturer in Italy. But the negotiation had failed and hence the company decided to establish Macro Engineering & Technology.
Macro Engineering & Technology has hired Franco Capetti, who had worked for Tecno Coating Engineering for the last 13 years as the Technical Director. At present, the company is hiring staff for its new Italian branch and has planned to make Macro fully operational by October 2011.
