Berkeley Design Automation, a pioneer in nanometer circuit verification, has declared that the India Semiconductor Association (ISA), an organization addressing the Indian electronic system design and manufacturing industry, has chosen Berkeley Design Automation as a recipient of the ISA Technovation Award (December 2011) under the Semiconductor (Intellectual Property) category.
ISA chose Berkeley Design Automation as the winner from a large pool of international firms conducting research and development activities in India. ISA launched the Technovation awards in 2007 to recognize the outstanding intellectual property developed by international companies having operations in India and the firms operating behind them. The market value of the semiconductor design industry in India was $ 7.5 billion in the fiscal year 2010 and is expected to grow at over 17% each year.
Berkeley Design Automation’s President and Chief Executive Officer, Ravi Subramanian expressed his gratitude for the selection of the company as a winner of the ISA Technovation Award, which is an evidence of the company’s advanced research and development operations. This award further strengthens the company’s dominance in the nanometer circuit verification technology, with its Analog FastSPICE platform that has become an ideal choice for nanometer RF, analog, mixed-signal and tailor design, he added.
ISA’s President, PVG Menon commented that the trade body selected Berkeley Design Automation as a winner for its technical advancement in nanometer circuit verification.
