FutureMark Paper, a manufacturer of 100% recycled coated paper for catalogs and magazines, has significantly expanded its customer roster in the year 2011, which includes new customers such as JCPenney, PepsiCo, American Airlines, Papa John’s, American Heart Association, Philadelphia Eagles, Hearst Magazines, Ms. Magazine, and the Sierra Club and U.S. News & World Report.
The company has also made a relationship expansion with the existing customers Macy’s, Dell and Scholastic.
Even though the publication paper market is volatile and slow, the latest customers of the company have supported its growth. The shipments of company’s high-recycled paper are raised to 7% and that of the coated papers is reduced by 8% year-on-year in 2011. The company’s coated publication papers includes greater than 90% recycled fiber than the papers having less than 10% of recycled fiber. These recycled papers will help to preserve valuable resources.
In accordance with the Environmental Paper Network’s Paper Calculator, instead of using non-recycled paper, the company’s customers using FutureMark’s more than 90 + % recycled paper in this year has achieved the following environmental savings such as preservation of energy of greater than 1.3 trillion BTUs, water consumption of 911 million fewer gallons, the displacement of the requirement of 2.3 million trees cutting, and elimination of greenhouse gases of about 133.7 Mlbs.
