A gas chromatography instruments manufacturer, Ellutia has announced the launch of the 7000 GC Flowmeter. Designed for accurate measurement of eight gasses used in gas chromatography, the new pocket-sized 7000 GC flowmeter has been designed to make gas flow measurement accurate and error-free.

The Managing Director at Ellutia, Phillip James stated that the 7000 GC flowmeter is a cost-effective solution for chromatographers. James also added that several features and improvements have been made to the previous 6000 Series flowmeter. The 7000 GC flowmeter is a smaller pocket-sized unit measuring 130 x 68 x 30 mm. It features an inbuilt rechargeable battery and a large OLED display. Its 25 point calibration ensures accuracy in reading. Users can set the pressure and temperature of their environment and the flowmeter compensates for the changes automatically.
The new Ellutia 7000 GC can detect Air, Oxygen, Argon/5% Methane, Argon, Helium, Carbon Dioxide, Hydrogen and Nitrogen with an accuracy of ±0.4 ml/min. It also features various modes developed with the GC user in mind. The Linear Velocity mode enables the user to set the desired column diameter and set the display in cm/sec. The user can also switch between standard and linear velocity flow modes easily by pressing a single button. The Split Flow mode enables the user to view both split ratio and split flow in live display.
