Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company has become a part of Suppliers Partnership for the Environment (SP). SP is an innovative partnership between auto-manufacturers, their suppliers, and the US EPA.
A large number of automobile producers, suppliers are a part of SP, which includes General Motors, Ford Motor Company, 2V industries, Haley and Aldrich, are members of SP.
Randy Leslie, Chairperson, SP was glad that Goodyear had become a member of the SP and said Goodyear is dedicated to form a base for sustainability and works with customers to reduce ecological footprints. SP and Goodyear with other members, together, will work for the improvement of ecological performance whilst upgrading the value of the automobile supply chain.
Mr. David Chapman, Director, Global EHS Sustainability, Mr. Aiman Abdrabou, Global Manager, Energy and GHG and Mr. David Woodyard, Global Manager, Environmental Sustainability and Product Stewardship will represent Goodyear at SP.
Goodyear was happy to be with SP, stated David Chapman. Goodyear shows keen interest in dealing with sustainability problems and Global Sustainability team of Goodyear is eager to work with the member companies of SP on important issues like minimizing energy usage, functional effectiveness and optimizing materials, said Chapman.
