KEMET, a manufacturer of aluminum, ceramic, electrolytic, film, paper and tantalum capacitors, has launched the company’s new product series of miniature radial and surface mount aluminum electrolytic capacitors.
The company is distributing these electrolytic capacitors in various specifications and these capacitors are suitable for use in common applications such as alternative energy, consumer, industrial and lighting markets. It has provided three low-profile surface mount series in up to 450 VDC of voltages. These capacitor series are low impedance models. At 105°C, these capacitors have a life of up to 5,000 h. KEMET offers seven radial-lead versions, whose voltages reach 500 VDC and have a life of up to 10,000 h. In addition, high ripple current potential will be provided by these series for many applications that are in demand.
According to Andrew Bellavia, KEMET’s Director of Product Marketing for Film and Electrolytic Capacitors in Americas, the company’s new electrolytic series accomplish the demand for miniature capacitors in a broad range of industries and applications. Currently, the electrolytic products from KEMET encompass the entire range of series from surface mount devices to huge screw terminals. This has allowed the designers to specifically choose the capacitance solution together with the appropriate combination of features in order to meet particular demands.
