Electrovaya Expands PowerPad Range of Lithium-Ion SuperPolymer Batteries

Electrovaya, a designer, developer and manufacturer of proprietary Lithium-Ion SuperPolymer batteries, systems and related accessories, has expanded its PowerPad range of products with the addition of a new Lithium-Ion SuperPolymer rechargeable battery, PowerPad 600.

It is an ideal alternative for today’s low energy density and lead acid lithium-ion batteries that are utilized in retail, telecommunications, warehouses, construction, hospitals and other areas requiring mobile power. PowerPad 600 has a huge energy storage capacity of 600 Watt hour.

The high-energy, advanced rechargeable battery technology from Electrovaya offers innovative energy solutions for the world's most challenging applications. It offers excellent safety and reliability with several layers of redundancies to address the needs of consumer, grid, automotive and healthcare applications.

PowerPad 600 has utilized the proprietary Lithium-Ion SuperPolymer battery technology that has about 50% greater energy density than phosphate. The battery can be used with desktops, laptops and all-in-one computers. It has a long cycle life and a lower cost of ownership when compared to Sealed Lead Acid batteries. In addition, PowerPad 600 is virtually maintenance free.

Ashis Basu, Electrovaya’s Marketing Manager, stated that they aim to deliver the healthcare market more energy capability than ever before, in a smaller space, so that critical healthcare applications do not suffer from power shortage. Basu added that the PowerPad 600 high-energy rechargeable battery is the advanced version of the proven PowerPad 130 and it has about five times enhanced energy capacity combined with an intelligent battery management system.
