Fiber-Coupled, Single Emitter Module Introduced By DILAS

DILAS, the diode laser company, today introduces a fiber-coupled, single emitter module that emits 10W continuous wave (CW) power at 976nm from a single, 200 micron broad area emitter. Available in a high heat load (HHL) package, this easy-to-integrate, high-brightness, 976nm, multimode diode laser is ideal for medical applications.

At 10W output power, DILAS’ 976nm fiber-coupled, single emitter module has an operating current of <14A and compliance voltage of <2.5V. These fiber-coupled devices are environmentally-sealed and include integrated photodiode and thermistor, as well as an integrated thermoelectric cooler (TEC). The detachable fiber can be controlled via the fiber interlock.

Further wavelengths available by DILAS include 689nm and 752nm with output powers of 400mW and 1.5W respectively, primarily intended for photodynamic therapy (PDT). Additional custom configurations, power levels, and additional wavelengths are also available.
