Cytec to Present its Recent Advances in Material Technologies for Cost Effective Mass Production of Light Weight Carbon Fiber Structures

Cytec Industries Inc. will be presenting at the upcoming SPE Automotive Composites Conference and Exhibition 9-11 September 2014, Novi, Michigan.

Alexander Aucken, Cytec’s Global Automotive Market Sector Manager will give a technical presentation on September 9, at 1:00pm entitled “Increasing the Affordability of Continuous Fiber Composites for High Volume Production”. This paper will present technology advancements to address the issues facing the automotive industry and suggest effective solutions.

“Cost effective mass produced composites require composite design-for-manufacture, automation, rapid cure materials and textile formats - developed for the right processes, and a technically and commercially mature supply chain” said Alexander Aucken.

Cytec will also be exhibiting on booth 420 and our representatives will be available to answer enquiries regarding Cytec’s recent technology developments, including rapid cure thermoset prepreg systems, high pressure resin transfer molding (HP-RTM) resins, large tow carbon fiber, recycled thermoset material and automation manufacturing technologies.
